In October 2023, STSCP and the Hartlepool & Stockton Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (HSSCP) agreed to provide a Joint Tees Training Programme available to all professionals who work with children, young people, and their families. This is so that wherever you work and whoever you work for, you will be able to access the same consistent high standard of training from either Safeguarding Children’s Partnership.
This has meant some changes to our previous programme but we hope that these improvements will provide you with more opportunities to expand your knowledge and has a positive impact on your working practices. We have extended our range of course subjects and will continue to provide training on safeguarding children, child criminal exploitation and county lines, and child sexual exploitation.
Previously, our safeguarding children training was subject to a 3-year cycle but this will come to an end with the introduction of the Safeguarding Children Foundation course. The Core Level 3 Safeguarding Children Update course will be replaced with the opportunity for professionals to update their knowledge using the variety of course subjects available.
You can find out more about all of our courses in the 2026/2027 training brochure (PDF).
The training programme will be updated regularly when new courses and course dates become available. We hope that you find this helpful but if you have any questions, please contact us at stscptraining@middlesbrough.gov.uk.
